Who we are

Mission Statement

A Soulful Sorrow exists to evolve the narrative and experience of pregnancy loss from one that is taboo and coldly clinical to one that is socially inclusive and sacredly approached—with the gracious honor and reverence this transformational experience deserves. Through compassionate community, holistic healing practices, and grief literacy education, we create a space where loss is met with dignity, understanding, and deep support.

A Soulful Sorrow seeks to shift cultural perspectives, foster healing through connection, and ensure no woman grieves alone. Meet our Founder

Lauren Paz MSN, RN, CCRN, 200 RYT

Hi Friend!

My name is Lauren, but my friends call me LoLo. And around here, we become fast friends, because pregnancy loss connects us on a deep level. I’m so sorry you know this pain too. When I endured over a decade of infertility & survived back to back pregnancy losses I was drowning in quotes, platitudes & cold clinical approaches that merely scratched the surface of my sorrow. I shocked at the isolation I felt & the lack of real transformational healing tools tailored for loss moms & pregnancy loss grief. To survive through it, I spent years blazing my own healing trail.

So, in 2023 God put it on my heart to create the very thing I wish I had during my losses: a step by step healing framework that addressed the mental health complexities, body disconnection & distrust I developed & soul deep sorrowful longing I had for this grief I felt to be witnessed, honored & transformed into growth. A Soulful Sorrow is a safe, sacred space for us to process, connect & heal together. I hope you know your grief is valid & deserving of support. I look forward to meeting you inside the Soulful Sisterhood Collective!
