More about
Loss Literacy & Our Local Chapter
Loss Literacy was founded by A Soulful Sorrow’s Founder, LoLo Paz in 2025. Our local Loss Literacy chapter is a growing network of perinatal professionals, nonprofits, therapists, healthcare workers, and grief advocates committed to transforming the way our community understands and responds to pregnancy, infant, and child loss.
Founded on the belief that every grieving parent deserves informed, compassionate care, we exist to unite those serving families through loss. We foster connection, collaboration, events and continued education among care providers throughout Central Oregon—ensuring no one walks this path alone.
Our Mission
To connect grieving families with local resources to ultimately create a grief & loss-literate Central Oregon. We both equip professionals with the tools & training, and also create a collaborative hub that connects perinatal support efforts to provide cohesive & compassionate care after pregnancy & infant loss.
What We Do:
Quarterly Gatherings to connect and collaborate across disciplines
Ongoing Loss Literacy Trainings & Certifications to deepen understanding and skill
Resource Sharing to bridge gaps in care and support
Community Building to strengthen the network of safe, informed spaces for grieving families
